A homeless man was robbed and assaulted on Sunday, July 1; this left him with multiple injuries.
On Sunday while on their routine patrol SACCW responders from “The Block” JP Oberholzer and Robert Opperman spotted a man bleeding from his head and hand.
The injury that the man obtained against his head.
They stopped and attended to the homeless man in obvious distress. The man had a head injury as well as a cut on his hand.

The man explained that he had been robbed at knife point and that he was assaulted.
Emergency services were dispatched and ER24 arrived promptly. They treated the man and made sure that he was alright.

“We were at Spar when we noticed a bleeding man begging for money, he said that he wanted to buy a bandage for his injuries. We then phoned emergency services to attend to the man. He told us that it was other men that also stay on the streets and that he saw a knife and a piece of palisade. They allegedly took his wallet containing his bankcards,” concluded Oberholzer.
