Lately, one of the biggest risks residents of eMalahleni face is being robbed. Withdrawing large amounts of money have shown its danger, and once again we have another victim.

Mr Samuel Mavuso withdrew money from inside the bank, where after he went to his business premise on the R555.

“As I stopped, a white bakkie and a vehicle pulled in, demanding the money I just withdrew. The suspects pointed a firearm in my direction, saying that they have all the information and want the money,” said Mavuso on Tuesday, May 22.

The money was withdrawn from First National Bank at the Saveways branch and Mavuso said that the reason for his withdrawal is that he needed to pay his workers.

This incident follows numerous similar incidents reported in the WITBANK NEWS, the most recent one where the late Mr Pien Pui-da lost his life in a shooting incident on Monday, April 30.
