South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) rewards the brave ones of eMalahleni.

WITBANK NEWS did an article on April 19 about a lady walking in the dirt road between Libertas and Raadsaal Streets, Blancheville and got stabbed.

SACCW Witbank decided to reward the four community members for their bravery in coming to the victim’s rescue.

On May 4, SACCW Operations Co-ordinator, Maureen Scheepers, rewarded Sibusiso Mathebula, Caiphus Dube, Sizwe Baloyi and Alfred Diederiks each with a SACCW “Certificate of Bravery” and a cash reward.

She thanked them for their assistance and urged them to continue assisting the Witbank Community. \

“Witbank needs more people that will not look away in a situation like that, this is the only way we can fight crime together in our beautiful city,” said Maureen Scheepers.


Maureen Scheepers along with Sibusiso Mathebula, Caiphus Dube, Sizwe Baloyi and Alfred Diederiks that got rewarded for their bravery.

The reward money was respectfully donated by the Blancheville, Highveld Park and Model Park neighbourhood watch groups which are all supported by SACCW.

“We thank the Chair persons of these neighbourhood watch groups for their contribution in promoting good deeds,” she added.
