Two attempts to burn down a house

Mabuza alleged that it all started on Sunday, April 29 at about 03:00 when paraffin was poured on his dining room door. They managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread in the whole house, but luckily only the door was damaged.

The second incident happened on Wednesday, May 2 at about the same time, 03:00. According to Mabuza, the suspect this time poured petrol on the kitchen door. Mabuza managed to be wakened by his child who was not well and was coughing a lot.

While in the kitchen to fetch the medicine, he saw the suspect running away.


Part of the fridge was also burned by the fire attempts.

Both the doors of the house were slightly damaged as well as kitchen curtains and part of his fridge was also damaged by the fire.

Both cases were reported to the police and a suspect has been arrested and appeared in court on Thursday, May 3 and the police are still investigating.
