A beautiful start to a public holiday

The starting point was at Schonland Drive and the walk/run ended at Engen Ferrobank.

What better way is there to celebrate Human Rights Day than to partake in a fun walk/run?

Ladies on The Move, Engen Ferrobank and Schonland Colliery came together to organise this event on Wednesday, March 21.

The fun walk/run is underway. Participants are walking/running from Schonland Drive to Engen Ferrobank.

The starting point was at Schonland Drive (after the bridge) and the walk/run ended at Engen Ferrobank.

The turnout was remarkable with people of all age groups supporting this day. Spotted in the crowd were a group of learners from Hlalanikahle Primary School.

“This event was organised for everyone to have fun while keeping active,” said Deon Botha from Schonland Colliery.

The first 100 participants received medals and those over 60 years automatically became medal holders.

Runners amped to get to the finish line. The fun walk/run took place on Wednesday, March 21.

Besides the fun walk/run there was tons of entertainment for the whole family.
