A family man from Ga-Nala lost his life in a serious accident on the R555 last week, two other people sustained injuries.

A family man from Ga-Nala lost his life in a serious accident on the R555 last week, two other people sustained injuries.

The head on collision occurred on Wednesday, February 28 at approximately 10:00, the two vehicles involved in the collision were a white Toyota bakkie and a 10 ton Isuzu truck.

Both vehicles were facing towards eMalahleni and they were badly mangled up.

When various authorities arrived on scene they found Mr Banele Malaza sitting next to the side of the road seriously injured.

Mr Walter Lukhele was travelling with Malaza at the time of the accident inside the Isuzu truck. Lukhele sustained minor injuries.
Both Lukhele and Malaza were transported to Life Cosmos Hospital for further treatment.


The accident scene on the R555 that claimed the life of Mr Johannes Dala (36) on Wednesday, February 28.

The driver of the Toyota bakkie Mr Johannes Dala (36) who was trapped inside the bakkie died on scene.
Dala resided in Ga-Nala with his wife Ms Bettie Gulube and their two children.

“He was a hard working person and really loved what he did,” said Gulube.

Dala’s funeral will be held on Saturday, March 10 in Mofokeng.

“He will be dearly missed as he was a wonderful husband and a great father to our children,” continued Gulube.
