Residents of eMalahleni were robbed once again in their homes.

Two house robberies took place on the same day just a few hours apart from one another.

The first incident occurred on Tuesday, January 30 at 13:00 when Ms Christinah Skhosana alleged that she was at home where she was working and she was waiting for a delivery.

Skhosana alleged that someone hooted at the gate and she went to open up the gate for the delivery person. He said he needed a pen for her to sign the documentation; he then followed her into the house where he held her up. While she was held up, another person came into the house taking a safe with a rifle inside, the television, coins and a laptop.

Later the same day at 23:00 Mr Anele Mpumlo alleged that he was at his home in Tasbet Park sleeping when a noise inside the house woke him up. It sounded like the kitchen door being broken into, so he went to check what was going on when he heard a shot fired from outside.

That is when Mpumlo noticed that there were four unknown men standing outside with balaclavas on.
