A joint crime prevention operation was undertaken in crime hotspots and the streets of KwaGuqa and the Extensions of the township.
The operation was done jointly by members of the police, members of CPF, Department of Home Affairs, Dog Unit, Crime Intelligence unit and community members.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 77 suspects, arrested for assault GBH, shoplifting, common robbery, theft, housebreaking, possession of drugs, stock theft, rape and pointing of a firearm among others.
The police urged the community to reject and report stolen goods.
