Suspect denied bail in court for business burglary

A suspect was denied bail when he appeared at Ogies Magistrate Court facing charges of business burglary.

On Thursday, January 18 at about 04:10, Cst Ezekiel Mashile and Cst Nelson Mxolisi Mahlangu of Relief C (led by Sgt Kedibone Lilly Mahloko) were patrolling in Sector one, Phola. While at Mkhasibe Street, they saw people inside the Telekom Sub-station in front of Mehlwana Secondary School.

The officials immediately stopped the bakkie to go and investigate further. The suspect’s friends ran away when they saw the police van, leaving him behind.

The accused was inside the Telekom Sub-Station holding a cable and a battery. The suspect was arrested.


Cst Ezekiel Mashile and Cst Nelson Mxolisi Mahlangu of Relief C arrested a man charged with business burglary at Phola on Thursday, January 18.

A business burglary case was opened at Phola Police Station. The accused appeared in court on Friday, January 19 where he was denied bail.

His case has been postponed to Friday, January 26.
