Suspect caught stealing a water meter

According to Mr Sanele Gumede who resides in the area, he stated that he was at his home fixing the meter.

A man was caught stealing a water meter at Highveld Park.

According to Mr Sanele Gumede who resides in the area, he stated that he was at his home fixing the meter. Gumede went inside his yard to collect more tools and as he came out he saw the suspect run away.

A man managed to stop the suspect by parking his car right in-front of the suspect.

“The man who stopped the suspect saw that as I went inside the yard, the suspect stole the water meter,” Gumede explained.

Mr Frik van Dyk from the South Africa Community Crime Watch Witbank (SACCW) and response members from neighbourhood watch Highveld Park responded to the call.

Law Enforcement officers also attended the scene. The suspect was apprehended by police.
