Remarkable results from St Thomas Aquinas’ Class of 2017

This is the 43rd consecutive year that the school has achieved a 100% pass rate.

St Thomas Aquinas School’s 25 full-time 2017 matriculation candidates received a 100% pass rate with 23 Bachelor Degree passes, two diploma passes and a total of 32 distinctions.

This is the 43rd consecutive year that the school has achieved a 100% pass rate.

The top four candidates are:

Nkululeko Thwala received six distinctions (accounting, Afrikaans, geography, life orientation, mathematics, physical sciences) and an average of 86.29%.

Tarisiro Katuruza obtained six distinctions (Afrikaans, geography, life orientation, life sciences, mathematics, physical sciences) and an average of 85.86 %.

Sijin Philip had five distinctions (accounting, geography, life orientation, mathematics, physical sciences) and an average of 82.43%.

Ammaarah Khota obtained four distinctions (Afrikaans, life orientation, mathematics, and visual arts) and an average of 78%.

Furthermore, the school obtained averages above the IEB national averages in six of the subjects written.

The school principal and board of governors congratulated not only the class of 2017 but also their parents and educators who worked together to achieve these outstanding results.
