Greater Emalahleni Soccer Academy is launched

Ngobe has added a feather to his cap after launching the Grater Emalahleni Soccer Academy at the Lynnville Stadium on Saturday, December 16.

Junior teams joined during the launch while playing in a tournament. Thomas ‘Junior’ Ngobe his father offered his support by being one of the scouts together with Quench Mahlangu and they did a good job in selecting a team for the academy.

In the first semi-final, Future Stars played Young Aces and Future Stars won and Mzambia played against Black Bees in the second semi-final and Black Bees emerged victorious.

The ground was then set for the final match, Future Stars playing against Black Bees.

Black Bees showed that they meant business with their attacks and were awarded a place-kick which resulted in a corner kick. Black Bees were in the picture when they scored after an attack from the wing to make the score 1-0.

Black Bees were denied a goal after a player tried dribbling his way through.

Future Stars were not to be outdone as they raided Black Bees danger zone. Black Bees rely on crosses while Future Stars played a short passing game.

In the second half Future Stars were on the attack and equalised to make the score one all after a keeper mishandled the ball.

Future Stars hit the post in one of their attacks.

With the score one all the teams went for penalties to break the deadlock.

Future Stars had one of their penalties saved and one went over the cross bar, they scored two penalties while Black Bees scored four of them.

The score remained 4-2 with Black Bees declared the champions after their hard work.

The top scorer of the tournament was Mduduzi Mahlase, goalkeeper of the tournament being Nhlakanipho Mawela and Dakito Bungeya was the player of the tournament.

A selected team was then announced after the tournament.
