Man dies inside bakkie on Bethal Road

The Bethal Road that is normally busy came to a standstill over the weekend as a tragic accident occurred and a young man lost his life.

On Saturday, November 11 at 14:00 police officers from Witbank Police Station attended the scene and a case of culpable homicide has been opened.

When the police officers arrived at the scene they found an unknown man trapped inside the wreckage; he sustained serious injuries and was declared dead on scene.

The driver of the truck, who was not injured, alleged that the Ford Bantam that was travelling from eMalahleni lost control and collided head on with the truck.
