The municipal workers were busy cutting trees when the tragedy happened at the Eadie Street off ramp on Friday morning, November 3. The deceased man was the one cutting the tree.

The trees being cut were slightly burned and were encroaching on the road. The man successfully cut the tree but as it was falling it unexpectedly changed direction and violently knocked his body to the ground. The man that had 30 years experience in tree cutting died on the spot.
