Police in Vosman held a crime prevention awareness campaign recently.

The campaign was held at Hlalanikahle Community Hall in Extension 2 on Thursday, October 26. The police also launched a Community Policing Forum (CPF) sub-structure at the same campaign.

The team was led by Colonel Moses Maepa, the visible policing commander in Vosman and was accompanied by Support Service commander Colonel Reunette Start. Captain Nqcobo was introduced to the community and the CPF sub-structure as the sector two manager.

The crime problems in this area are: house breaking and common robberies where young boys smoking drugs are suspected of mostly standing outside at local tuck shops waiting for the opportunity. If you send a child to the tuck-shop, that can be used as a chance to rob them.
