People die on eMalahleni roads over the weekend

Two people lost their lives at the weekend in eMalahleni as a result of being involved in accidents.
Both fatal accidents occurred on Sunday, October 15 a few hours apart from one another.

The first accident happened on the Paxton Road near Klarinet at 16:55. Members from Witbank SAPS who were on duty received a call about an accident.

When the police officers arrived on scene they found that two vehicles had been involved in an accident.
A white Toyota Quantum that was transporting passengers and a Toyota Tazz collided.

It’s alleged that the driver of the Toyota Tazz lost control of the vehicle and collided head on with the Quantum.
The driver of the Tazz died on scene.

Later on that day at 20:20 another accident occurred on the Bethal Road.

As police officials arrived on scene they found that a pedestrian had been hit and was declared dead by ambulance staff.

A witness, who saw the accident happen, took down the registration number of the vehicle that hit the person.
It’s alleged that it was a blue Volkswagen Jetta with a registration number BYL 680 MP.
