Ga-Nala officers fight crime

The police officers in Ga-Nala made arrests during last week. On Friday, Oktober 13 a suspect was arrested for stock theft at Thubelihle location.

The police got a tip off and rushed to the house at ext 4. When they arrived they found the owner of the house and asked her about the meat which she said she knows nothing about. Police entered the house and found the meat of more than three cows in the bedroom.

They arrested her and charged her with stock theft. She appeared in the Kriel Magistrates Court on Monday, October 16 and was released on R2000 bail. The case was postponed to November 8.

The arresting officer is Warrant Officer Samuel Zulu, with the assistance of Sgt Linda Mahlalela, Const Gugu Sibiya, Const Zebulon Gula and Const Sthembile Mdebele.

The station commander of Kriel Police Station would like to thank the community for a tip off and quick response from the police officers.

The estimated value of the cattle found is R45 000.
