A cash-in-transit heist was foiled earlier today.

A cash-in-transit heist was foiled earlier today.

Robbers tried to rob a G4S cash van on Monday, September 18 after the crew collected money from a local hardware shop.

The driver of the cash van came to a standstill against a wall in Beatrix Street after they were followed from the hardware shop.

Capt Eddie Hall, police spokesperson, confirmed that one of the suspects was caught. He said police are looking for the remaining suspects. It is believed that there were three.
