Family held at gunpoint

Among the household items stolen, robbers also stole the Ford Focus that was parked in the garage.

On August 25, Mrs Rebecca Koopa was at her home in Die Heuwel when she and her daughter were alerted to someone in their yard.

A man approached them and pointed a firearm at them, telling them not to make a noise.

Two other armed men entered the yard and forced Koopa and her daughter into the house. The three suspects allegedly removed the television from the home; they also stole sets of keys.

The suspects instructed the mother and daughter to remain in the house while they made a run for it.

“My car was stolen,” said Koopa, who refused to comment further regarding the robbery.
