Found with unlicensed firearm and theft of a motor vehicle in Ackerville

Vosman police reported that they have arrested a suspect in possession of a firearm in Extension 10.

They reported that on Monday at about 18:30 they received a tip off about a person possessing a firearm.

The person was found near the Extension 10 Engen Garage. The suspect aged 44 years old was then searched and was found with the unlicensed firearm a 7.65, together with three rounds. He could not produce any authority for the possession of the firearm; he was then arrested and charged.

The police also reported that they have arrested another suspect in a unique theft of a motor vehicle.

The theft of a VW white Polo registration HNR 984 MP, valued at R600 000 was found at Ackerville. The car was recovered at Calabash Tavern on Monday, July 24, at about 24: 30.

The 44 year-old victim was drinking alcohol inside the vehicle when a lady, unknown to him asked to join him and he agreed to the request. The said lady occupied the front left passenger seat.

After a while the man felt dizzy and fell asleep only to wake up at Balmoral in the bushes without his vehicle.
