A complainant, Themba Jacob Mahlangu (47) of Clewer near Vosman reported that he had parked his truck while driving through Clewer.

He added that at about 01:20 on Sunday, July 2, he had parked his truck to have a rest.

While resting, Mahlangu alleged that he was woken by a chocking smell of pepper spray then heard two gun shots from outside and was ordered to get out of the truck.

One of the suspects forced him to the nearby bush, while the others were busy removing the wheels from the truck. They also took cash and a cell phone.

Thereafter an unknown taxi arrived, the wheels were loaded inside the taxi and they drove away.

An amount of R1 700 was taken together with a Samsung cell phone and eight truck wheels worth about R160 000.

No one has been arrested.

Captain Klaas Maloka warned drivers not to stop at deserted areas or near liqour outlets as that might pose a danger.
