Two pedestrians found dead

There is still no arrest made and police are still investigating the matter.

The two lifeless bodies that were found on the corner of Mandela Drive and the N4-Slipway leave a riddle behind.

In the early hours of June 10, a passing vehicle came across a horrific scene as two lifeless bodies lay in the middle of the road.

ER24 Ambulance service along with ER24 Xtrata immediately attended the scene that looked like a pedestrian vehicle accident. On their arrival on scene the paramedics declared the two people dead, of which one was a female and the other a male.

According to the ambulance service no details were received yet.

“We cannot give any further details about this pedestrian accident due to the nature of the call,” ER24 paramedic Lauren De Swardt.


The two dead pedestrians that were found on the corner of Mandela Drive and the N4 Highway. On June 10 at about 03:00 in the morning, a passerby came across the bodies.

In the same incident, the passerby told both forensics and police that just a few metres on there was a black Mercedes that was involved in an accident. On the SAPS arrival, they found the vehicle in a damaged condition along with bloodstains on the front of the Mercedes.

It is further alleged that the driver told the police that he drove over something on the N12 highway but was not sure what it was and was to afraid to stop along the busy road.

Allegedly, while investigating the incident police returned to the Mercedes to get a statement from the driver but he was no where to be found. The driver of the black Mercedes left his vehicle abandoned with the keys included.

There is still no arrest made and police are still investigating the matter.
