Operation Thunderstorm by Vosman police

The operation was conducted from Thursday, May 8 to Monday to May 22.

During a crime prevention operation conducted by Vosman police, a number of suspects were arrested.

The operation was conducted from Thursday, May 8 to Monday to May 22. The operation yielded the following successes:

Four suspects were arrested for possession of dagga, three for dealing in dagga, 13 for drinking liquor in public, one for driving under the influence of alcohol, two for being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle, one for theft of a motor vehicle, four for theft, eight for being illegal immigrants, three for murder, one for rape, three for robbery, two for armed robbery, seven for house breaking and theft, one for contravention of a protection order, one for warrant of arrest, one for possession of an unlicensed firearm, two for contempt of court, three for illegal trading, one for house robbery and 19 for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. The total number of arrested suspects stands at 79.
