The incident happened on Saturday, May 20 at approximately 10:00. Friends went to help Mr Vedesh Sewpersad fix his car in Tasbet Park X1.

That’s when Sewpersad left to withdraw money from the bank. An undisclosed amount of money was withdrawn.
Sewpersad then parked his white Kia bakkie in front of the gate and went inside the house with the money, placing it in the safe.

After about 10 minutes two unknown men forced themselves into the garden and approached Sewpersad’s two friends who were busy fixing the car.
