*Thobile’s disappearance gave her mother a headache as she lied about visiting her aunt when in fact she went elsewhere.
On Saturday, April 15 at 17:10 *Beaulah (Thobile’s aunt) received a call from her sister *Martha (Thobile’s mother) asking if her daughter came to her as she had alleged. Martha mentioned that she left her home situated at Pine Ridge at 15:30. Beaulah told her sister that her niece did not visit her at all. With Beaulah being worried she gathered her friends and went on a full search. Thobile was found at one of her friends place.
She was asked to call *Lion (suspect) to know about his whereabouts, he replied by saying he was at his brother’s place and he will go to her place after church. When Lion got there he apologised for sleeping with the girl and will not happen again. Thobile said Lion slept with her by force. Another incident reported was when a woman heard a knock at her home. When she asked who it was the suspect replied.
She opened the door and two suspects got inside, she alleges that she was pushed on top of the bed and both suspects raped her. In her statement she said she knows one of the suspects. To report a case rape, call the Witbank Police Station on 013 655 5000 or visit their offices.
