Shoes presentation at Phakama School

The school not only received shoes but they were also provided with meals for the teachers and the learners as well

In his address, after the presentation of 110 pairs of shoes, Bishop Sipho Mkhawane said he was happy to be associated with school which has a proud history.

The presentation at the school was held on Thursday, March 16.

The school not only received shoes but they were also provided with meals for the teachers and the learners as well. Bishop Mkhawane pledged to support the school with a donation of R2 000 meat every term. He thanked the teachers for the good work they are doing teaching the children and encouraged the learners to focus on their studies.

“This is just a token of appreciation to all of you. To be a teacher is a calling. We are pledging that all children of the school will be provided with shoes in the future. We have a long history with the school and it so nice to be associated with the school. God will bless the school.”

Principal of the school Mr Shada Maseko thanked the church for the good gesture and was sure that the school is truly blessed and was hopeful that in returning the favour they will do well in their studies.

Cllr Mpumi Maseko was also present during the presentation.
