Community members taking the initiative in their ward

The Stanley Mkhwanazi Branch 13 community project in Ackerville aims to take care of the environment in their area.

A group of people have been coming together to develop their area in many ways. One of the aims is the formation of the organisation to develop their community and the environmental state starting with passages in Ackerville.

They aim to pave all the passages with help from Scholand Colliery. The colliery was approached and they agreed to help with paving tools.

“The other aim of the organisation is to create skills and job opportunities and hopefully they will get more assistance with funds to do other projects in their area,” said Mr Sipho Dlamini Community Liaison Officer (CLO) of the organisation.
