A 40-year-old woman opened a case of robbery on behalf of her 15-year-old son after he was robbed at knife point in the Klipfontein Dam area.

He was robbed on February 15 by two men who took his cell phone valued at R2500, the mother found out he had been robbed only after he arrived at home late that day due to the robbery.
On February 16 a 23-year-old man was walking to the tuck shop in Tasbet Park in Okapi Street when two men approached him asking him for a cigarette.

He told them he doesn’t smoke when one of the men drew a knife from his pocket and threatened the young man. The robbers took his cellular phone and his wallet and fled.

On February 17 a 37-year-old man withdrew money from the bank in Mandela Street, he was soon after approached by two men who asked him about a meat business seeking directions.

While giving them directions he felt a sudden cold along his neck, another suspect had snuck up behind him and held him at knife point. The man was forced into a silver Mazda 3.

The suspects drove with the man along the Old Ogies road where they made a u-turn, they then dropped the man off in the field after taking the money he had withdrawn as well as his cellular phone. The suspects then drove off.
In the last armed robbery a young man was assaulted on February 18.

He arrived late at home, his mother asked what had happened and he explained that he knew who assaulted him and stole his phone. He told his mother that one of the men who he had opened a police case against was one of the suspects that assaulted him that evening, taking his cellular phone.

The mother opened a case of armed robbery against the suspect, aged 22 and his accomplice.
