Three suspects allegedly driving in a white Bantam fled the scene after robbing a small business situated at Tasbet Park 2.

This happened on Monday, February 6 between 14:30 and 15:00.

Mr Kazi Uddin makes a living by selling grocery items to the community members. The 23-year-old shop owner was alone in his shop when two men came in and turned his store upside down. He alleged that they left their vehicle far away from the scene when two suspects entered the shop and one was left inside the car. Only one suspect had a firearm and allegedly pointed it at him when he was demanding certain goods from his store.

The suspects helped themselves to cigarettes, airtime, money and his two cell phones. He alleged that the three suspects were dressed in grey, green and white t-shirts respectively.

As they were taking his things he was allegedly slapped hard on his mouth.

“My shop has never been involved in a robbery before, I was hurt but now I have healed from the trauma and it is business as usual for me.”

It is alleged that the suspects took off in a white Bantam.
