Little Thandeka given second chance

Little ‘Thandeka’ was given her name by the paramedics that saved her life on the cold, wet, gloomy day. The meaning of the name meaning “Something that’s loveable.”

On Wednesday morning, February 22 Witbank Provincial Hospital was contacted to hear how baby ‘Thandeka’ was doing.
According to a nurse in the ward where she is lying she has been given a vest by a mother in the ward. She has been drinking some milk and is doing very well.

Tuesday, February 21 at approximately 17:25 as the rain continued to fall, the newborn baby was found in the grass next to the Puma Stadium by a local security company that noticed a little bundle.
