Traffic travelling from Johannesburg direction on the N12 highway came to a standstill near the Ogies Offramp as a serious accident occurred in the pouring rain.
The accident happened on Monday, February 20 at about 10:00, where three cars were involved in the accident.
Two people sustained no injuries, they were just in shock.
A passenger sustained minor injuries and both drivers one was killed instantly and the other female driver was trapped in her car for an hour as fire fighters cut her out of her vehicle.
She sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene then taken to hospital for further treatment.
