The Emalahleni Local Municipality are doing maintenance and therefore two power outages will affect certain extensions of the city and Ogies.
The electrical department intends to carry out a shutdown to perform critical repairs on switch gears in Reyno Ridge.
This will take place on Tuesday, February 21 on the Reyno Ridge 6 substation which is situated in the North Eastern suburbs of eMalahleni.
The following specific areas will be affected by this outage from 07:30 to 17:00:
Benfleur, Benfleur Boulevard, Bankenveld Golf Estate, Tasbet Park externsions 1 and 2, Duvha Park extensions 1, 2, 8, 11 and 15, Witbank extension 16, Point C and Eden Park.
The electrical maintenance team also intends to carry out maintenance at Ogies on Thursday, February 23.
This will only affect Ogies and will take place from 08:00 to 17:00. Urgent maintenance is required on a 22kv income breaker.
It is recommended that the network be treated as live during this period.
