About two weeks ago Sithembiso Mike Ndaba and Ayanda Mahlobo both aged 24 were found and nabbed at Kriel in connection with a murder of a government employee. The pair made their second appearance at the Ermelo Magistrate Court on Tuesday, January 10 where their case were postponed for next Friday.

They are also charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and theft of a motor vehicle they allegedly committed in Ermelo.

On the evening of Monday, November 28 2016 Ndaba and Mahlobo came into Mr Rofhiwa Tshifhango’s (38) house where he was with his colleague Mr Mandla Mahlangu (32). These two men work for the Department of Public Works. Tshifhango and Mahlangu were taken to Spitzkop Farm where Tshifhango was allegedly strangled to death by a rope and Nkosi was shot several times and left for dead. The men were found the following day where Tshifhango was found lifeless and Nkosi was still alive and taken to hospital for medical attention.

Initially the case had three male suspects and a woman who is believed to be the deceased’s partner, however due to lack of evidence only two of the suspects being Ndaba and Mahlobo can be linked to this case.

Their case is postponed to January 20 for a bail application.
