Robbers’ first attempt failed

“My sister is still traumatized and her cell phone got stolen with the robbery,”

A robber got access to a woman’s house only after failing the first time but eventually succeeded the second time.

In the early hours of Sunday, December 3 a victim of a house robbery was woken up by a noise coming from the backdoor of her house in Hertzog Street.

“My sister is still traumatized and her cell phone got stolen with the robbery,” the victim’s sister said.

According to a report an armed robber tried to gain access to the anonymous victim’s house by trying to get through a door but failed. As this did not scare away the robber he succeeded to get in through the window with his second attempt.

“My sister was all alone in her house sleeping when a noise from the backdoor in her kitchen woke her up. She quietly went to the kitchen and listen to the struggle of opening the door from the robber’s side and suddenly the noise stopped,” her sister went on, telling exactly what happened.

It was further told that when the victim went back to her bedroom the suspect in the meantime got access through a window and surprised her, pointing her with a firearm.

“The robber did not do my little sister any harm but took about everything he could lay his hands on. From a cell phone to clothes, handbags and even her toiletry bag,” the victim’s sister also stated.

The police attended the scene to get evidence that can lead to the arrest of the armed suspect. No arrests were yet made but the case is still being investigated.
