Robbers after solar panels and batteries

The report further states that the suspects took shoe laces which they used to tie all of the guards with.

At least six solar panels were stolen at a business situated at Pine Ridge.

This happened on Saturday, November 26 when security guards on duty who were inside the guard room got attacked. According to a police report around 22:55 three suspects came into the room and hit one of the security guards. It is alleged that the man was hit by a steel pipe over the head.

The report further states that the suspects took shoe laces which they used to tie all of the guards with.
A firearm was allegedly taken from one of the guards, together with their cell phones and wallets. Items stolen in the business yard include about six solar panels and batteries.

All those stolen items were loaded into a vehicle and they fled from the scene. According to reports the stolen batteries were later found on the road.

None of the men on duty could be reached for comment.
A case of business robbery was opened at the Witbank Police Station.
