A new machine for the municipality

The cost of these machines are approximately R1.2 million each at this stage more will be purchased in the next budget cycle.

A TLB is a life saver instrument, machine and friend to our technical teams. It has a very wide range of applications as its design allows it to scoop up vast volumes of soil or rubble on one side and on the back side, being equipped with a mechanical arm which can dig trenches of meters deep.

Therefore it is used by our electrical, roads, water and sanitation teams in all repairs as well as new constructions. It is furthermore used by our cemetery section for digging graves and for our waste section for cleaning areas.

The new TLB that was purchased by the municipality for better service delivery.

This versatile machine is in high demand and without it we experience delayed turn around times on reported issues. We now received both the new machines and these are allocated and fully occupied by our technical directorate on a seven day a week basis.
