Ahead of the month-end weekend, crime was cleaned off the streets of eMalahleni when various stakeholders conducted the Electricity Back to Basics operation.
Close to three houses were found with illegal electric connections during the Back to Basics operation. Emalahleni municipality departments together with Witbank police and other law enforcers visited various streets on Friday, October 28.
The Emalahleni municipality departments in conjunction with Witbank police, the Reaction Unit, the Community Policing Forum (CPF), Law Enforcers and Traffic Control officers joined hands in nabbing these criminals. The campaign was done on Friday, October 28.
