TUT students start solidarity protest over the “fees must fall”

The classes at TUT have been cancelled today on September 21

The classes at TUT have been cancelled today on September 21 when some students started a protest over the fees must fall issue which is a national issue that is still ongoing at major universities.

Many of the students stand divided on the protest and were surprised to find that classes have been cancelled with nothing to do but turn around and go back home. Some even had exams and test today.

Since TUT is entirely a private higher education learning institution and the fees are entirely independent from other major universities it is unclear what the students hope to achieve with the protests.
