Man rushed to a clinic after being stabbed by robbers

A man was left bleeding after he was stabbed with a knife walking at the Central Business District (CBD).

On Tuesday, July 12 Mr Nkanyiso Dube was walking from the Puma Stadium’s direction when he got robbed by three men. It was around 14:30 when the he was approached by two men allegedly holding knives. The 23-year-old passed them and when he looked back he saw them holding the weapons. The third suspect came in front of him and started to kick him. He fell on the ground and the suspects ran away with his cell phone and jacket.

Dube was stabbed in the hand and later rushed to a nearby clinic for medical attention. He could not be reached for comment.

The very same day saw another robbery still in the city where Mr Elias Chukhuemeka was threatened with a knife. The man was walking at French Street when he was robbed.

“As I was approaching the house I noticed there were three men inside the yard. They asked me for money of which I responded by saying that I did not have,” said Chukhuemeka.

The two suspects allegedly assaulted the 28-year-old and took money from him.
Mr Alfred Mongatane also became a victim of a robbery on Saturday, July 16. As he entered his residential gate, a white car parked behind him. The vehicle had three occupants. The two got off and one hit him in his left ear and he fell on the ground.

The first suspect searched him whilst the second one was kicking him.
His cell phone, money and bankcards were taken. The 22-year-old sustained no injuries.
