Members of the Hawks are on the hunt for two armed men after a house was robbed in Lynnville.
The police reported that on Friday, July 1 at about 20:40 a house at Makgatho Street in Lynnville was robbed.

It was reported that three unknown suspects entered the house and demanded money from members of the family.
The assailants told the family to go to one room while one of the suspects who was armed with a firearm stood guard at the door. All in all seven adults and three children were all forced into one room except for the granny who was taking a bath during the robbery.

“We were all traumatised because while they demanded money they also assaulted some of us. They also demanded to see a tenant who happens to be from Mozambique. They kicked opened the bathroom door and took pension money from the granny as she was paid the same day. They also took grant money for a disabled child,” said a member of the family.

Apart from the money the suspects robbed the family member’s seven cell phones and a lap top.
The suspects went away after one of their cell phones ringed and they disappeared into the dark night. When the family went out they were nowhere to be found.

Police are investigating a case of armed robbery and no one has been arrested.
The family members’ names were not mentioned as they wish to remain anonymous.
