Cigarettes, money and airtime stolen

A shop owner in Diedericks Street was held up early one morning in last week.
The incident happened on Sunday, June 26 at 07:15 when Mr Mohammad Hossan opened the shop.
While he was busy serving a customer, two unknown men came into the shop.

Boxes and boxes of cigarettes were stolen from a shop in Diedericks Street.

According to Hossan the men were armed with firearms, they started shouting “sit down”, “sit down”.

“I could not see what was happening after a while and everything went quiet that is when I stood up and items were taken from my shop,” said Hossan.

Seven boxes of cigarettes, a large sum of money and airtime were stolen.
No shots were fired and the Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) visited the crime scene.
