Crime prevention duties were conducted by Community Policing Forum (CPF) members and Vosman police officers in the past week.
Crime prevention measures were conducted from Sunday, July 12 in ensuring the reduction of crime. The initiative resulted in the following arrests.
Six for possession of dagga, one for dealing in dagga, one for possession of drugs, two for driving under the influence of alcohol, three for interference with police while on duty, two for theft, three for robbery, one for fraud, three for contempt of court, one for trespassing, one for shoplifting, 16 for assault with grievous bodily harm and the total number of people arrested were 43.
“Reject and report stolen goods, dial the 24-hour crime stop number at: 08600 10111 or on cell phone 112 or sms crime line on 32211,” reads a statement from the police.
