The plan for these two men was to go to their favorite drinking place, share a drink or two and catch up. But unfortunately a good night turned sour when their cars were stolen.
According to a police report on Sunday, May 29 a 26-year-old man made a call to a friend to meet him at a drinking place, the phone call was made around 21:00. Their circle got bigger when they were joined by two women who put a stamp on “the more the merrier” statement.
All four of them later drove to extension 10 where the party further continued. They all slept until 10:00 the following morning and when they woke up the men were greeted by a big surprise, their vehicles with other personal belongings were nowhere to be found. The police report states that around 01:00 the two men heard sounds but because they were too tired they did not wake up.
It is alleged that items stolen were car keys, cell phones, house keys, money- and bank cards, the women were also not in the house.
Tips on how to party safely provided by Better Health include: do not leave your drink unattended, do not accept lifts from strangers, stick to your drinking limit if you have set one and do not drink and drive.
One of the drivers refused to comment on the issue stating it was a private matter.
