This past week 76 suspects saw the inside of jail when they were arrested for various crimes.

It might seem petty, but shoplifting is a serious offense. Capt Eddie Hall, police spokesperson said eight suspects were arrested for shoplifting.

Capt Hall said the police are not taking driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol lightly as it can have fatal consequences. Eight drivers had to sober up behind bars as they were arrested for this crime. In the same breath Capt Hall mentioned that four drivers were arrested for reckless and negligent driving.

General theft also saw 19 suspects behind bars and eight suspects were arrested for assault.
Not a week goes by wherein there is not drug related arrest. This week seven suspects were hugged by the long arm of the law for possession and dealing in drugs. Eight people were arrested for possession of stolen property, four for malicious damage of property, two for interference in a police officer executing his duties and three more for resisting arrests.

Two illegal immigrants were also apprehended.
Capt Hall concluded and said one person was arrested for attempted murder, one for business robbery and a person was arrested for possession of illegal firearms.
