Minibus crashes into a wall after being involved in an accident with a bakkie

A minibus crashed into a wall after being involved in an accident with a bakkie on April 15 at OR Tambo Street.

The incident took place on April 15 when two vehicles that were travelling on OR Tambo Street being a bakkie and a minibus got involved in an accident.

It is alleged that the bakkie was travelling on the slow lane when the minibus overtook the vehicle and then go into the slow lane too. Apparently the minibus unfortunately lost control and crashed into a wall whilst the bakkie hit a tree that was on the other side of the road.

“I was shocked to find a car inside my yard but I am glad the house is fine because if it was any closer, it would have been in the bedrooms’ side,” said Reyneke.

Mr Dino Padayachee, the CEO of Langamed confirmed that his team was on scene where some of the patients in the minibus were stabilised, treated and transported to Emalahleni Private Hospital for further treatment. Injured persons were treated for various injuries.


The minibus was just a few meters away from the house after being involved in an accident with a bakkie and crashing into a wall at OR Tambo Street on April 15.

Both drivers were not available for comment.
