An early morning drive resulted in the death of three people on Sunday.
A head on collision occurred at about 06:20 on April 17 along the Old Ogies Road roughly 15km out of eMalahleni.

The four occupants in the Kia Cerato were returning from a party the previous night in Nelspruit traveling in the direction of Ogies when they collided with a BMW which was traveling in the direction of eMalahleni.
The head-on collision resulted in both cars ending at least 12m apart from one another with parts and debris strewn across the scene.


Three occupants of the Kia died in the accident that took place on the Old Ogies road on Sunday.

The driver of the Kia and two passengers were killed in the collision. The woman travelling with them in the Kia survived the ordeal with a slight injury. The driver of the BMW also survived the crash and was taken to hospital by a passer-by.


Parts of both the Kia and BMW lay strewn across the accident scene.

Provincial Ambulance Services arrived on scene and tended to Ms Nonpumeleko Jele’s injuries. She was taken to Witbank Hospital for further treatment. She refused to comment on the accident.

The driver of the Kia, Mr Curtwise Ngobeni will be laid to rest on Saturday April 23 at 07:00 at Hoyi Trusts, Tonga.
Mr Kenneth Ngomezulu’s funeral will be held at his family’s home at 11:30 with the burial taking place at Pretoria Memorial at 12:15. Mr Bafentsheng Mokoena’s funeral arrangements have not yet been settled by his family.
