A few teams have come together to give the youth of Emalahleni a chance to play league football.
The teams are hoping to get sponsorship to run a formal league as that will give the league a competitive edge.
Football teams associating and providing a platform for the kids to exercise their constitutional right is a breath of fresh air as that takes children out of the streets after school, over the weekends and during school holidays.
The first matches were played over the last weekend. The teams are divided in three age groups, u.11, u.13 and u.15.
The first matches were played on Saturday, March 12 at different venues.
