It was all fun during the sixth edition of Emalahleni City Race which was run recently and it’s an annual race.

It was all fun during the sixth edition of Emalahleni City Race which was run recently and it’s an annual race.

The Emalahleni City Race is a fun run of 4.9km where participants run while others just walk the mileage then end off by doing aerobics. The fun run started and ended at the Highveld Mall. It was held on Saturday, March 12.

The fun run is aimed at raising funds for local disadvantaged students in schools. The money raised will be used to buy uniforms, school shoes and sanitary towels for girls.

The winners of the Emalahleni City race Cedric Kgole (second), Sipho Hlumbane (winner), John Mabena (third) and Trevor Dube of Sport Wrap Foundation and organiser of the race.

The race was won by Sipho Hlumbane, Cedric Kgole came second while John Mabena was placed third.

The athletes really enjoyed the race and the aerobics. They were shaking their bodies while having fun.

“The race is dubbed a family race as children can take part with their parents at an entry fee,” stated the organisers of the race.

The Emalahleni City Race is organised by Trevor Dube of Sport Wrap Foundation.
