The Forever Resorts National Junior and u/16 tour was hosted by Loskop Dam and Forever Resorts.
It’s a four day stage race and it took place from March 19 to March 22.
The tour offers participation from u/16 boys and girls, Junior Men and Junior Ladies, comprise of a Road Race, Criterium and Time Trial.
On Saturday, March 19 Jeandre Gautier from eMalahleni managed to get a first place on the time trial and obtained the yellow jersey, he averaged 40km/h on the 22km time trial.
Jeandre with the lead took to the road again for the 66km on Sunday, March 20 for Stage 2 in the yellow jersey.
He managed to get two hot spots and came in fourth overall. He was in second place overall, four seconds behind Rickardo Broxham.
Jeandre Gautier won The Forever Resorts National Junior and u/16 tour on Tuesday, March 22.
On Monday, March 21 Jeandre and the group had to complete the distance of 77km, he managed to claim back his win, getting the yellow jersey back. Stage 4 took place on Tuesday, March 22 it was the toughest day for the cyclists as they did 94 km. Jeandre had a two second lead from Rickardo.
In the four days the cyclist, cycled 259 kilometres, in the beautiful area of Loskop Dam. “It was really tough, it took its toll on my body but I am glad I managed to complete all four stages with two yellow jersey starts,” said Jeandre. Watch the video here for more!
