Fresh water leaking for over a week

Why after several attempts to report the matter and more than a week has passed, have the pipes still not been fixed?

Concerned residents in Jackaroo Park has been trying to report two fresh water leaks in Jackaroo Park and in light of the current water crisis it should go without saying that fresh water pipes that are damaged should be a top priority for the municipality yet the question remains.

Why after several attempts to report the matter and more than a week has passed, have the pipes still not been fixed?
WITBANK NEWS has reached out to the municipality for comment on the leaks as well as to find out what plans they have in the pipeline so to speak to help save water by making sure water pipes are functioning properly.

The water leak in Jackaroo Park has been going on for over a week.

Many residents have sacrificed basic commodities such as turning on their hose pipe or showering instead of bathing to help save water where they can. News like this can be very discouraging as the man who reported the leak was clearly discouraged.

“They ask us to save water and we try to report it to them to save that water but you can’t even get through to them,” said the man who wishes to remain anonymous.

No reply has yet been received from the Municipality.
